“[Lyndon B.] Johnson took over from [John F.] Kennedy [on November 22, 1963]. Remember that he made that comment, which has been republished many times, relating how when he became President he discovered that we were ‘running a murder, Inc. in the Caribbean.’ He backed off on the assassination plots, because Kennedy had been assassinated, for one thing, I [former CIA agent, Philip Agee] believe.”
